The event aimed to share the cultural message of Raksha Bandhan – a festival symbolizing protection , gratitude , and unity.

Coordinated with Dedication

The event was coordinated by RAF Lieutenant Shameer Mehta , who is also a volunteer (Swayamsevak). With support from Dr Madhuben Gowda , the celebration was well-organized and warmly received by all attendees.

Sharing the Meaning Behind the Festival

Mr. Pradeep Gupta explained the cultural and spiritual significance of Raksha Bandhan , emphasizing its role in promoting harmony and national service. Mrs . Somya Talari added a devotional element by singing a patriotic hymn (bhajan) “Hum Kare Rashtra Aradhana” (“We worship the Nation”)

Tying Rakhis with Respect and Love

Male Volunteers (swayamsevaks) and Female Volunteers (Sevikas) tied traditional decorative threads (rakhis) to the wrists of service members as a gesture of respect and brotherhood. The atmosphere was filled with warmth , appreciation , and mutual admiration between the volunteers and armed forced personnel.

A Meal to Bring Everyone Together

The celebration concluded with a meal generously hosted by the organizers , creating a sense of community and cultural connection through shared food and tradition.
