Hindu Community Unites for Sunset Charity Walk to Support the Homeless
A heartwarming sunset 10km charity walk brought together over 170 people from the local Hindu community in a powerful show of solidarity to support the homeless. Organised by the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (UK) Finchely , and supported by the Depala community , the event raised more than £2,000 for Homeless Action in Barnet. The walk took place on the evening of Friday 25th April , starting from Victoria Park in N3 and followed a circular route.
Participants of all ages joined the effort , displaying a strong sense of unity and compassion. “Seva is at the heart of Hinduism”, said one of the event organisers. “It’s about serving others without expectation, and tonight was a beautiful reflection of that. By coming together for this cause, we are living out our values and giving back to the wider community.”
Marcin Nocek , the Night Shelter Coordinator from Homeless Action in Barnet , expressed his gratitude for both the generous donation and the awareness raised by the walk. He hopes that the event will inspire more people to support those facing homelessness in the area.
