Hindutva Explained
Hindutva: The Spirit and Essence of Hindu Identity
The term Hindutva combines two Sanskrit roots: “Hindu” and “Tva.”
While Hindu reflects a deep cultural and civilisational identity, Tva conveys the idea of “essence” or “being.”
Together, Hindutva represents the essence of being Hindu — the living expression of Hindu thought, culture, and identity.
There is no real distinction between Sanatan Dharma, Hindu Dharma, Hinduism, and Hindutva; they all point to the same timeless spiritual and cultural tradition.
