Members of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh UK from North London and Hertfordshire joined Remembrance Sunday parades in Harrow and Brent, honouring British and Hindu soldiers who served in the two World Wars.

On Sunday, 9th November 2025, Members of HSS (UK) from various branches across the North London and Hertfordshire region once again took part in the Remembrance Sunday parade and memorial service organised by the Mayor of the London Borough of Harrow.

More than 60 Members of HSS (UK) from across the region marched alongside cadets and corps from various British armed services, in what was a strong and visible turnout. The occasion was a proud demonstration of British Hindu identity and community spirit, reflecting the values of unity and collective belonging that lie at the heart of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (UK)’s work.

Participants wore both the traditional red poppy and the marigold flower — a symbol drawn from Hindu and Indian tradition — together honouring the courage and sacrifice of British and Hindu soldiers who served in the First and Second World Wars.

Recognition from the Mayor of Harrow

Following the event, the Mayor of Harrow sent a note of thanks, warmly acknowledging the pride, discipline, and enthusiasm shown by the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (UK) cadets and volunteers who took part in the parade.

For Members of HSS (UK), the recognition reflected something deeper: a sense that their consistent presence and contribution within local communities genuinely matters, and that British Hindus are seen and valued as an active part of community life across the UK.

A Second Tribute in Brent

Later that day, a number of Members of HSS (UK) also attended a separate Remembrance Day parade and memorial service hosted by the London Borough of Brent at Barham Park, Wembley. They brought the same dedication, humility, and respect to this second tribute, once again honouring the memory of the fallen.
