Members of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh UK in Wakefield marked UK Parliament Week 2025 with an interactive game mirroring the UK’s two Houses of Parliament, joined by Councillor Matthew Morley.

The Vinayak Parivar Branch of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (UK) in Wakefield marked UK Parliament Week with an engaging and educational programme. The event brought together more than 20 enthusiastic participants, including families, young people, and seniors. The branch was also honoured to welcome Councillor Matthew Morley, whose encouragement and insights added real value to the occasion.

An Interactive Game Mirrors the UK Parliament

The session opened with an energetic, interactive game designed to mirror how the UK’s two Houses of Parliament actually work. Participants chose topics and then tried to convince both “houses” to approve their proposals. The activity proved both fun and genuinely instructive.

For many of the younger attendees, the exercise offered valuable lessons beyond the game itself. They practised clear communication, teamwork, and understanding different points of view. They also learned how to respond thoughtfully to feedback, skills that carry well beyond the world of politics.
